Manuscripts are to be submitted to the editor through the designated email, using MS Word format. Manuscripts may also be sent to the editor as email attachments (in MS Word) at the above address. In both cases, a hard copy is to be enclosed. A separate sheet should contain the author’s full name, his/her designation, address, phone number., email ID, and a declaration that the article has not been accepted for publication elsewhere. Authors are given intimation immediately after the manuscript is considered for publication. Every author (not a reviewer of books) is given and a copy of the journal. Publishers/authors should send review copies of their publications in duplicate to the editor. Authors are requested to take note of the following. while preparing their references. Al References to books, articles, and other sources should be cited in the text by noting in parentheses the last name of the author, the year of publication, and page numbers. AI reference to notes should be numbered in the traditional style within the text, followed by a separate list of notes to be given at the end and not at the bottom of pages. All other references, to be given at the end, should be arranged in alphabetical order by the author’s surname; where more than one work by the same author is cited, the list should be in chronological order of publication. Examples:
(a) Where the author’s name is in the text, the year is to be mentioned in parentheses [Daya Krishna (1979) argues:]. If the author’s name is not in the text, insert the year in parentheses [“Daya Krishna 1979”]. Multiple references to be cited chronologically in parentheses, separated by semicolons [Kothari 1988; Huntington 1993; Mitra 1999].
(b) Page numbers should be mentioned as: (Mitra 1999: 43).
(c)In case of multiple publications of the same author in the same year, postscript the date with a, b, c,…” [Daya Krishna (1979a)].
(d) References to books/edited volumes to be cited at the end as: Jessop Bob. (1982). The Capitalist State. Marxist theories and models. Oxford Basil Blackwell.
(e) References to journal articles to be cited at the end as: Salmon, Laster (1970). “Comparative History and the Theory of Modernisation, World Politics, XXIl (1), October, 47-59. Articles in books should cite the name of the author, followed by the year of publication in parentheses, the name of the article, and for the rest follow (d).
(f) References other than books and articles (i.e., conference papers, mimeos) should mention full details of the materials cited.
(g) Ibid, op, cit, Ioc, cit, etc. not to be used anywhere in the References.
